Another phenomenal release from my favorite German synthwave artist. This one delves into more of a cyberpunk aesthetic and I am here for it. She really went above and beyond with the art design here too, with obis on both the vinyl and cassette, a gorgeous variant, and some cool extras like a fake employee ID badge.

Re-Post• @jasonlostinaforest Moving Spaces, the 2021 LP from Laura Dre, an electronic artist and DJ based in Germany, evokes comparisons with the sleek 1980s music heard on a Grand Theft Auto video game, except that, in this world, there is no need for auto theft because everyone already lives in luxurious Miami Vice-style beachside mansions or high rise penthouses and everyone already has multiple Ferraris and Lamborghinis in each garage. In other words, these are synth-pop songs that make me feel cooler and more suave than I will ever actually be. The title song hits the sweet spot with regard to my nostalgia for my 1980s youth and delivers an energetic anything-is-possible vigor to my psyche.
I bought this album upon its release two years ago after hearing a couple of tracks on a darkwave social media group, and I have since enjoyed giving it some turntable spins on a frequent basis. I also have Laura Dre’s ethereal Kyoto Dreams record and have preordered the upcoming Moving Spaces II, because I am always eager for more dreamy night drive soundscapes.

What a whirlwind of emotions during the funding of this album on Indiegogo!!

I loved Moving Spaces, and I knew the follow-up would be just as spectacular!

I believed in this album and I believed that it needed to be enjoyed in a physical format. So I pledged for every format she offered as well as two vinyl for some very dear friends of mine!

6 days before the campaign was supposed to end we were at 63% ($10,466) and it seemed like it was not destined to happen. Laura ended up extending the campaign by 4 weeks and it made the difference !!

It reached a total of $21,326 out of the $15,710 goal! Fully surpassing the goal and unlocking ALL the stretch goals for tons of extra goodies! (One of them being a mutual idea between Laura and I 🤯) She has fans that believe in her, her artistry, her hard work, and her care in putting together an album. This was really evident as the campaign ended in a really high note!!

Now we wait for the physicals to arrive, but in the meantime I can play this fantastic album on a device that has seen its end!

The original first gen Zune 30. This beauty works like a charm and it’s the perfect way to listen to this album.

Hi all! Regarding Moving Spaces II campaign: I’m going to extend it by 2 weeks until October 10th, thanks to Indiegogo's flexibility. As most of you know, due to the ongoing AKARI LD-01 project on Kickstarter, I couldn't use it for MSII.
MSII is a 2-year labor of love, but sadly it hasn't gained the expected attention on Indiegogo, despite the success of the first Moving Spaces album. I had to make some decisions of how I will release MSII now. Based on fan suggestions, I'll release a single on September 29th, hoping it generates interest during the extended period.

My second decision: If the Indiegogo campaign fails, I'll delay the digital and physical release to 2025 for Kickstarter. This choice was made to maintain momentum for the physical releases as currently there are only 70 supporters for this album, which tells me there’s not much demand for it. So I’d rather postpone.

Next year, I have other projects going on and there won't be any new releases for a while. I deeply appreciate my backers and music fans' support. You're crucial to my projects' success, and I'm grateful for your individual and collective support. Thank you all. <3
